This past Saturday, May 4th, marked a sentimental moment for me.
Being the last runway challenge for the Colour of Couture Top Model Competition,
I am seeing this much anticipated event nearly at it’s end.
I have truly enjoyed myself thus far and experienced more than I could have imagined with Saturday, inspired by DSQUARED 2, being quite a challenge.
Hot, Hot, Hot!
When I took my first look-see at DSQUARED2’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, I
was immediately transported back to my childhood, sitting in front of the TV
watching the Gidget movies. Well, Gidget may have gone Hawaiian, but, Dean
and Dan Caten has her shopping in Scarsdale. Combining fashion from the 50’s
& 60’s with the elegance of fine accessories makes this collection a joy to
style and a blast to watch.
Identical brothers Dean and Dan, are the masterminds behind DSQUARED2 and
their latest collection allows me to show off a little skin.
Vintage being one of my favorite fashion genres, I created East meets West with a 1950’s
style swimsuit and a bright and busy Kimono jacket. Loving the look of “The
Rich and Nerdy”, expensive jewels were in order with tortoiseshell glasses to
see them better with. Thanks to Dsquared2’s inspiration, The Real
Housewives of Beverly Hills have nothing on me!
