MAD AS A HATTER
I am.
I am as mad as a hatter.
For those of you who aren’t aware of what that means,
being mad as a hatter pretty much means I’m insane.
The phrase derived from factory workers in the 18th & 19th centuries who used mercury laden felt to make hats. These poor individuals developed dementia and what was coined as Mad Hatter Syndrome.
So am I?
Mad as a hatter?
ABSOLUTELY.
I have lost my mind and am completely insane for hats!
Besides hair, hats are responsible for a major portion of my wardrobe and they all vary dramatically in size, color, shape, style and design.
To me, everyday should be a hat day.
I simply cannot get enough of them which is why today will mark the beginning of many more adventures to come giving homage to the head covering worn for protection, religious reasons, ceremonial gatherings and of course, fashion — The Hat!
Our first topper adventure lands us on the doorstep of ALB Dream Fashion.
When you walk into AnaLee Balut’s store, it is truly a dream with wall to wall and top to bottom fashion. There is something for everyone there and I felt transported to another world. But, it wasn’t until I spotted her hats that I lost all sense of time and space.

The bright and bold colors as well as the daring designs are not for those who lack self-confidence. These hats make a statement and can hold an entire conversation on their own without you having to say a word.
